Cullibrate does not watch XMP files after a collection is imported. Use this command when Lightroom, Capture One, Photo Mechanic, or another app changes metadata on disk and you want Cullibrate to refresh its copy.
Run a resync
- Finish saving metadata changes in the other app.
- Open the affected collection in Cullibrate.
- Choose File → Resync external XMP changes…
- Review the summary and click Resync from XMP. Keep Cullibrate open until it finishes.
What Cullibrate refreshes
- Star ratings
- Tagged, Untagged, and Rejected state (Lightroom Pick, Unflagged, and Reject)
- Colour labels
- XMP-authored capture time
- Creator and copyright
- Orientation, crop, and straighten settings
How files are handled
- Lightroom stores metadata inside standalone JPEG and DNG files, and in sidecars for proprietary RAW files. Cullibrate reads the native location for each.
- Photos with no XMP packet keep their current values.
- Resync reads from disk. It does not write or create XMP files.
